Supplier Quality Engineer

The SQE core responsibilities will be communicating with suppliers, validating concerns, root cause analysis, resolving product / paperwork holds, conducting audits & analyzing data for metrics.

Main Responsibilities :

• Analyze & validate the reported internal supplier issues.
• Determine cause & responsibility by reviewing drawings or specifications & measuring parts.
• Notify suppliers, initiate containment, update internal systems & generate / follow up on corrective actions.
• Perform virtual & onsite supplier audits as needed.
• Address products' paperwork issues with suppliers & maintain the systems.
• Maintain & generate reports / charts for metrics utilizing data mining from various support systems.
• Accuracy, attention to details & appropriate turnaround time in all internal & external communication.
• Experience in advancing a Zero-Defect culture utilizing advanced Quality tools such as statistical analysis, PFMEA, 8D corrective action, A3 problem solving, 5 why analysis, Ishikawa diagrams and other six sigma tools.
• Ability to solve a wide range of difficult problems in imaginative and practical ways and evaluate alternative solutions that may require coordination across multiple teams.
• Ability to establish goals and objectives to complete projects.
• Prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
• Travel 25% or less domestic and international.

Essential Commodity Experience / Requirements :

Work Environment : Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses, heel straps, and shop coats.
