Service Advisor – Liverpool, NY

At First Automotive , we’re raising the standard for what a service experience should be. We don’t just fix cars. We guide people, protect them, and give them peace of mind. And none of that happens without a great Service Advisor leading the customer journey from start to finish.
What You’ll Do (The Real Job) :
Create an experience customers remember :
- Greet every customer like you already know them.
- Set expectations clearly at drop-off : timing, approvals, communication style, the digital inspection process.
Translate technician findings into human language :
Present digital inspections with clarity — photos, arrows, simple explanations.Build organized estimates : customer concern first, then safety, then maintenance.Keep customers informed from start to finish :
Proactive updates — morning and mid-afternoon. Customers never chase us.Walk customers through repairs at pickup and schedule the next visit.Make thank-you calls at ~7 days and reach out on deferred work at ~21 days.Own the workflow that keeps the shop productive :
Build accurate work orders and confirm customer / vehicle info.Coordinate with the Shop Foreman to prioritize diagnostics, inspections, and sold work.Make sure every DVI meets standards — photos, captions, clear notes.Run the front with discipline and professionalism :
Order parts, verify deliveries, manage cores and returns.Handle deposits, discounts, AAA, and Royalty Rewards correctly.Perform daily closeout, balance the drawer, prep deposits, and manage the inbox.Oversee loaner vehicle agreements, inspections, and Stripe pre-authorizations.Everything the customer experiences — clarity, trust, follow-through — starts with you.
