Travel experience is required. Charge experience preferred. Patient ratio experience is 5 / 6. Charting system experience is necessary. Community hospital experience is preferred. Skills required include accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and central line care. Experience with chest tubes, CVA, external CPAP / BIPAP, and feeding tube care is beneficial. Must have knowledge of heparin protocols and high flow nasal cannula management. Interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias is necessary. Management of cardiac drips with no titration is essential. Must possess experience in telemetry and in managing total joint replacements. Wound care and wound vac expertise are required. Tracheostomy care and management skills are necessary. Use of rapid response and code teams experience is essential. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily census ranges from 18-25. The unit comprises 36 rooms and has 50 beds.
