Overview
Job Description — Assist the VP of Tax and Head of Tax with federal, state / local, and international tax compliance oversight, providing tax consulting advice to business partners, and working with deal teams to maximize tax efficiency of investment structures. Manage junior tax staff, providing oversight and guidance on the reporting functions. Work closely with junior and senior members of the Finance / Accounting team. Assist with correspondence with federal and state tax regulators. Assist with tracking and mailing all federal and state / local tax filings. Review quarterly tax provision calculations prepared by external vendors. Review tax waterfall (carried interest) models and related tax distributions, in keeping with the applicable legal terms. Assist with oversight and coordination of tax compliance services from third party tax service providers. Assist in keeping investor relations informed of tax reporting timing for the firm’s investors and respond to investor tax inquiries. Assist with the investment management company’s tax reporting obligations.

Base Pay Range : $114,000 / yr - $151,400 / yr
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
