Job description
  • Restock and organize : Replenish liquors, beer, wine, ice, and other supplies at the bar stations.
  • Clean and maintain : Wash and restock glassware, wipe down surfaces, clean up spills immediately, and remove dirty dishes and glasses from tables.
  • Manage trash and recycling : Empty trash and recycling bins as they fill up.
  • Assist with orders : Help bartenders with order-taking, inputting orders into the POS system, and preparing some drinks.
  • Opening duties : Prepare the bar by stocking it, organizing liquor shelves, and preparing juices, mixers, and garnishes.
  • Closing duties : Help break down the bar, which includes cleaning all surfaces, washing dishes, mopping floors, and cleaning coolers.
  • Stock management : Receive and properly store deliveries of liquor and other supplies, rotating products to maintain freshness.
  • Equipment maintenance : Ensure equipment like blenders and coffee makers are working properly and assist with simple troubleshooting.
  • Garnish and mix preparation : Prepare fresh fruit and juice mixes needed for cocktails.
  • Heavy lifting : Change beer kegs, a physically demanding task that involves removing empty ones and stocking new ones.
  • Table maintenance : Clear dirty dishes, silverware, and glasses from tables; wipe down surfaces; and set tables with clean silverware, napkins, and glassware for the next guests.
  • Cleaning and sanitation : Keep the dining area and work stations clean by sweeping or vacuuming floors, wiping down chairs, and removing trash.
  • Stocking and replenishment : Restock service stations with items like napkins, silverware, and condiments. Refill water and other beverages as needed.
  • Support for servers : Assist servers with carrying food and drinks to tables and respond to their requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Guest assistance : Help guests with their needs, such as refilling drinks or cleaning up spills.
  • Side work : Complete various tasks such as polishing glassware and silverware, folding napkins, and preparing for the next shift.
  • Operational flow : Help maintain the flow of the restaurant by turning tables quickly, which allows servers to focus more on guests and reduces wait times.
  • Following procedures : Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and company policies.
