Schedule : Hybrid; 2 in-office days and 3 remote days. Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm. Some special events will occur outside of regular work hours.

Job Description : The Grants & Foundations Manager works with the Vice President of Advancement to secure funding from institutional donors and ensure high-quality stewardship of those donors. They are a valued member of the Advancement Team (Communications and Development), and will collaborate closely with all teams across the organization to maintain accurate and compelling language and data for requests and reports. Their primary responsibility is to manage and execute the grant writing cycle, including researching, writing, and submitting proposals and reports. They play an important role in generating new funding opportunities in all our areas of service, including the Washington, DC region, the New Orleans area, the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, and across the country.

Physical demands : Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
Work environment : Normal office environment. Some work will take place off-site during special events.
Travel : This position requires national, overnight travel approximately 10% of the time for activities such as meetings and events in and out of the DC Metro area. Must be able to travel (via plane, train, or car).
Candidates must be able to meet the onsite work schedule by the start date.
