Job Description

This position involves using assembly instructions and tools to assemble components and subassemblies, ensuring correct fit and specifications. The role offers opportunities for wage increases and a sign-on bonus, along with various benefits.

$18-24 an hour

Responsibilities

• Use assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, parts lists, tools, and materials to perform assembly tasks.

• Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.

• Examine connections for correct fit and fasten parts and subassemblies.

• Verify specifications by measuring completed components.

• Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications, and notify the supervisor to obtain additional resources.

• Contribute to the team by accomplishing results as needed.

• Cross-train in all areas of assembly and assist other departments as required.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude

• Experience with hand and power tools

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams

• Proficiency in using a tape measure

• Experience in electrical and mechanical assembly

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in construction or similar environments

• Ability to stand constantly and lift up to 50 lbs

Work Environment

Work in a very clean facility on the 1st shift from 6 am to 4 pm, Monday through Thursday, with a $1 shift premium on Fridays. This shift will change PERMANANTLY to 3am-1pm in June!

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Loves Park, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
