Description

• Assess and evaluate patients across various demographics including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Create tailored treatment plans addressing specific communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs that align with both short- and long-term goals.
• Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy interventions targeting areas such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to ensure a holistic approach to care.
• Guide and educate patients and their families to continue progress during and outside of the clinical sessions.
• Conduct occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to guarantee seamless continuity of care.
• Document treatment plans and patient progress accurately and timely, in accordance with state, federal, and organizational requirements.
• Engage in ongoing education and peer discussions to stay abreast of the latest industry advancements.
