Job Summary
Assemble machines, equipment, and subassemblies following assembly drawing, written documentation and verbal specifications.
Relationships
The Mechanical / Electrical Assembler reports to the Site Manager and has no subordinates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Interpret drawings and specifications to plan and complete mechanical assemblies.
- Follow generally accepted guidelines and wiring diagrams to route and connect wires for electrical systems.
- Utilize hand and power tools during the assembly process.
- Assemble components using a variety of fasteners.
- Bend, route and install flexible or rigid tubing for pneumatic systems following schematic drawings.
- Measure components for inspection and fit
- Apply problem solving and basic math skills as required.
- Test or assist testing operation of completed product.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate's degree from a two-year college or a minimum of one-year related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.A strong working knowledge in the mechanical and electrical fieldsKnowledge to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawingsAbility to take initiative and organize your own work independentlyCompetencies

Per company policy the mechanical / electrical assembler is eligible for overtime wages.Per company policy, personal protective equipment (PPE) and necessary tools will be provided by the company or reimbursed.Language Skills
English required. Additional language skills a plus.
Physical Demands
Ability to stand for extended periods of timeThe employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and electrical hazards. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. Safety, including proper PPE is priority. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
