BSI is looking for energetic Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our growing dermatology and cosmetic surgery practices. Position Summary

• Serve as a patient advocate during patient exam and treatment
• Show patients to examination rooms, procedure rooms or operative rooms and prepare them for the physician
• Record patient's medical history, medications, allergies, vital statistics and information such as test results in medical records
• Ensure proper consent forms are obtained prior to preparing a patient for treatment
• Obtains blood specimens by performing venipunctures (Draw Blood)
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician following safety protocol of right dose
• Explain treatment procedures, medications, wound care instructions and physician's instructions to patients
• Help physician examine and treat patients, handing them instruments and materials or performing tasks such as removing sutures
• Under physician direction, authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies
• Assist physician with surgical procedures while maintaining sterile field
• Correctly dispose of infectious waste and bio hazard materials
• Inventory and assess the need for instruments, supplies and equipment while keeping the room stocked
• Adheres to all policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and great customer service
• Performs other duties as needed
