Job Purpose

The Director, FP&A will drive budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, KPI reporting, and long-range planning while maintaining tools and systems that enable scale and efficiency. This person will also lead monthly and quarterly review processes and play a central role in aligning internal insights with internal and external reporting requirements, including to the companys PE sponsor. The Director, FP&A will be responsible for

leveraging the companys consolidated and project-level financial models and leveraging those models to provide insights and tools for all key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Performance Review

  • Lead the monthly and quarterly review processes, analyzing performance vs. forecast and budget.
  • Update assumptions and returns in coordination with Development, Project Execution, and Capital Markets teams.
  • Deliver key insights and recommendations to leadership through structured financial reviews and dashboards.
  • Own periodic reports to the companys private equity sponsor, which provide clarity and key insights into the companys performance

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Drive the annual budgeting process and regular forecast-to-actual updates.
  • Build and maintain forecasting tools to support real-time visibility into business performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to gather data and assumptions that support proactive financial planning.
  • Communicate with and regularly update cross-functional teams on progress against budget
  • Reporting & Analysis

  • Manage monthly KPI reporting, monthly updates for the companys private equity sponsor, and insightful executive dashboards.
  • Ensure alignment with external reporting requirements, including lender and tax equity partner updates.
  • Conduct project lookback analysis to evaluate financial outcomes vs. expectations and inform future project planning.
  • Financial Modeling & Forecasting

  • Maintain and leverage individual project and consolidated company financial models.
  • Partner with Capital Markets team to align financial assumptions and support investment decisions.
  • Systems & Tools

  • Maintain and improve reporting infrastructure, including Power BI dashboards and Power Automate workflows.
  • Embrace continuous improvement and identify opportunities to automate routine reporting tasks and improve data accessibility and accuracy.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
  • 6+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles in renewable energy, infrastructure, or related industries.
  • Strong modeling skills with advanced Excel proficiency; familiarity with project finance structures is helpful but not required.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, KPI tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Power BI and Power Automate or similar business intelligence / reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly analytical with a detail-oriented mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
