Financial Clearance Specialist

A company is looking for a Financial Clearance Specialist - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

Perform pre-registration functions and obtain authorizations from insurance carriers for managed care patients

Educate patients on their insurance policies and assist in resolving insurance or payment issues

Ensure high levels of customer service by serving as a liaison between patients and support staff

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent GED

Three years of related healthcare pre-registration / referral experience

Experience with medical terminology and electronic medical records

Preferred experience with EPIC EMR and oncology practice

Background in revenue cycle management, billing, and insurance denial resolution is strongly preferred
