Job descriptionInvest in building relationships with students and praying for them regularly Create and maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating classroom environment through various teaching techniques and discipline that is redemptive in nature Maintain Records Maintain accurate class rosters including health concerns and special needs of students as noted on parent permission slips Prepare adequate information and materials for a substitute teacher Maintain the Classroom Know procedures for dealing with emergency situations Purchase classroom supplies as needed using funds provided by Program Director Communicate Attend annual school open house and other outreach events as available Maintain ongoing dialogue with school personnel to stay apprised of class schedule changes and ensure student well-being Build relationships with volunteers and keep them apprised of schedule changes Submit regular updates, stories, and photos to Program Director Other Duties Participate in the annual LifeWise Summit Attend virtual monthly LifeWise Teacher's Lounge meetings Help with fundraising events as needed A minimum of two years of teaching experience in either a school or church setting. A mature personal Christian faith consistent with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith Active membership in a church in which teaching aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith Retirement plan, including employer match
Overview
As a LifeWise Teacher in the LifeWise Patrick Henry Local program, you will demonstrate in-depth Bible knowledge and outstanding teaching abilities. Our ideal candidate is an active church member with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is caring, perceptive, and proficient in teaching children.
Job Description
- Teach LifeWise Classes
Implement the LifeWise curriculum in the classroom
Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to LifeWise Program Director and / or school officials as needed
Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-ordered classroom
Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
Complete the LifeWise Teacher Certification
