We are currently seeking an Operations Leader to join our GFS Chemicals family. This position is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of all chemical manufacturing activities within the division. These operations include, but are not limited to :
- Bulk chemical manufacturing
- Small batch chemical manufacturing
- Solid chemicals break bulk and repack activities
- Aqueous chemicals bottling and packaging
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in operations management, business administration, or related field such as Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline preferred8+ years of management experience preferredPrior manufacturing experience requiredProject management experience, PMP Certification is not required but is a plusERP System experience (Dynamics 365 experience is a plus)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent quantitative analysis skillsStrong technology skills and willingness to learn new software technologies and toolsExcellent Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Visio and PowerPointProcess thinking and design thinking skillsUnderstanding of Lean Six Sigma and Lean Enterprise concepts, Green Belt or Black Belt are not required but are strongly encouragedExcellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational controlProficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processesThorough understanding of budgeting and cost controlAbility to understand the vision of the organization and translate it into specific plans and actions that drive business performanceAbility to work collaboratively with all departments, management levels within the company, and external stakeholdersDaily Tasks :
Manage the production manager and engineering manager directlyResponsible for continuous improvement of processes and production activitiesResponsible for identifying new KPIs to measure and improve operations across the divisionKPIs which the Operations Leader will be responsible for include (but are not limited to) :Engineered Cost vs Actual Cost MAPE
