About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Neurocritical Care Physician for a locum tenens position in Delaware. This 78-day assignment begins 02 / 01 / 2026 and requires 13-15 shifts per month, typically split between day (7a-7p) and night (7p-7a) shifts. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a wide range of neurological emergencies, including acute ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury, status epilepticus, and spinal cord injuries. Responsibilities include providing 24 / 7 critical care coverage, performing procedures such as ICP monitor placement and management, and working with the Cerner EMR system. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated neurointensivist to make a significant impact in a corporate healthcare setting.

Job Responsibilities and Duties :

  • Provide 24 / 7 critical care coverage for patients with severe neurological and neurosurgical conditions
  • Manage acute ischemic stroke cases, including post-thrombectomy care
  • Treat intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) and subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH)
  • Care for patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI) and spinal cord injuries
  • Manage status epilepticus cases
  • Perform procedures including ICP monitor placement and management
  • Utilize Cerner EMR system for patient documentation and care coordination
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in neurocritical care
