Provide students with educational and career advising and process tuition assistance; market the Fund; work with colleges and help members successfully enroll in educational programs
Coordinate adult education and skills training classes; partner with vendors, market program and recruit students
Work with union staff and leaders to promote the Fund and develop opportunities to serve members and engage the union in outreach and promotion
Research appropriate vendors, negotiate training contracts, evaluate program quality and success and identify quality educational vendors
Work with labor-management committees to identify training needs and promote the Fund
Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in healthcare, labor management or education related fields required
Minimum three (3) years’ experience handling workforce development programs, higher education, training, career counseling or labor management programs required; coordinating logistics for program implementation, or previous experience tracking training and educational outcomes required
Experience with career coaching and advising
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills required; strong project management skills preferred
Experience within healthcare sector or unions highly preferred
Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership and teamwork skills
Ability to maintain strong partnerships with Union partners in order to ensure training projects are
Needs to have Counseling Experience with College Setting or Career Counseling experience
