SENIOR AUDITOR
Education & Credentials
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
CPA certification with an active license
OR actively working toward CPA certification
Experience
3 6 years of audit experience in a public accounting firm
Demonstrated nonprofit audit experience
Familiarity with Form 990 and related tax returns
Understanding of Unrelated Business Income (UBI)
Bonus : Experience with ERISA audits or Uniform Guidance audits
Technical Skills
Proficiency in :
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
QuickBooks
ProSystem fx Tax
Engagement and Document software (or similar audit tools)
Deep understanding of :
GAAP and GAAS
Internal controls and audit methodologies
Complex audit procedures and techniques
Project & Client Management
Proven project management and time management capabilities
Experience handling multiple client engagements simultaneously
Ability to prepare and review :
Financial statements and footnotes
Audit programs, budgets, engagement letters
Form 990s and related returns
Leadership & Team Dynamics
Prior experience supervising, mentoring, and training junior staff
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work collaboratively in teams and cross-functionally
Business Development Acumen
History of building strong client relationships
Ability to identify new business opportunities and contribute to proposals
Participation in billing and collections processes
