Job description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for the month end close from the preparation of the necessary journal entries through the issuance of the financial statements for both companies for review.
  • Prepare the monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Export MIP data into excel for Analysis.
  • Analyze all financial statements for questionable amounts and variance.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of the General Ledger, Including Individual AR accts
  • Assist with preparation of the OP-Plan, COR and the Cost Reports.
  • Responsible for the recording of all fixed assets and their applicable depreciation.
  • Perform internal & external audits deemed necessary for both companies.
  • Assist with year-end audit work.
  • Become cross trained with the other areas of the Finance Department in order

to provide coverage during sick and vacation leaves.

  • Document the allocation changes that occur throughout the fiscal year.
  • Reconcile payroll on a monthly basis to the general ledger.
  • Monthly audits of Individual Personal funds.
  • Scan all new Leases into Accounting share folder monthly.
  • Track vehicle mileage monthly.
  • Responsible for Guilmartin Lease schedules.
  • Any other job responsibilities as required.

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Education : Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or other related area within the Financial field. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have experience creating and utilizing various spreadsheets.

    Personal : Must possess strong analytical skills and be able to take initiative when given a project. Must be highly confidential when dealing with various aspects of the position based on the subject matter.

    Other : Must have a valid Connecticut driver's license and suitable transportation.
