Sterile Processing Tech II - Clear Lake (2 : 45pm -11 : 15pm / Mon - Fri)

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years related experience
• Current Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) certification.

JOB SUMMARY :

Under general supervision, prepares, assembles, maintains, and transports surgical trays, instruments, and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing.

JOB DUTIES :

Instrumentation Decontamination :

Follows Universal Precautions by wearing the appropriate protective attire while working in the decontamination area.

Instrumentation Assembly :

Communicates any issues that arise with instrument preparation to the Sterile ProcessingSupervisor or Manager.

Sterilization :

Picks surgical case carts by following established Surgeon Preference Cards or Procedural Pick list / requisition.

Case Carts & Supplies :

In addition to the functions categorized above, the Sterile Processing Technician I :

Salary Range :

Actual salary commensurate with experience.

Work Schedule :

Monday - Friday 2 : 45p-11 : 15p
