Work Schedule : Mon-Sat / 10 hour shifts

Responsibilities
Local travel is a requirement of the position; up to 100% to various company locations and field sites, often with minimal notice; including periodic office visits for meetings, training, etc
Submit and fill out daily paperwork, ensuring that all required signatures are included
Meet and greet individuals who enter the work area in a friendly manner. Brief them on the scope of work and tasks for the day and ensure they sign the JSA
Manage Safety Rescue Teams and obtain supplies when needed
Complete daily tasks assigned by Foreman
Participate in the crew chat and chat groups
Actively participate in daily JSA (Toolbox) meetings and file daily
Make ongoing safety inspections of the project site(s) and public areas and take necessary and timely corrective action(s) to eliminate unsafe acts and or conditions. Record observations as directed using the Safety Inspection reporting tools
Ensure all site personnel comply with federal and state local laws and regulations, client, and company regulations, policies, and procedures
Exhibit responsibility and authority to immediately correct unsafe conditions and unsafe practices, including suspending work until the unsafe condition or practice is corrected and meets all safety requirements
Work with the Foreman, Company EHS, Client Safety Representatives and crew to investigate incidents to determine facts necessary for corrective action to prevent recurrence and ensure investigations are completed in a timely manner
Work jointly and collaboratively with the EHS Department, other safety representatives and Operations to improve operational efficiencies and reduce safety related costs and incidents
Ensure that the following are posted at a Project Site location visible to all personnel : Emergency procedures, Emergency phone numbers, Job safety and health poster, and Notice of Workers' Compensation Compliance
Stay up to date with current and emerging technical and professional aspects of this position
Perform additional related duties as assigned
This position requires a working schedule of Monday-Saturday and occasional Sunday work. Typically, 10 hours per day
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years oils & gas related experience, and some knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the safety field
The ability to balance multiple tasks, along with strong communication skills (written and verbal) is essential. Preferred English / Spanish bilingual
Safe driving skills with a clean driving record
Approachable, outgoing and comfortable speaking in front of audiences
Adept in the use of computers, smart phones, tablets, internet browsers and Microsoft Office products
Passion for safety and teamwork, flexibility, integrity, and honesty
Quantitative and practical intellect, and detail oriented with a tenacious focus on results
Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently and self-motivated. Able to multi-task and adapt to changing conditions
Ability to perform work outside in the elements for extended periods of time
Professional appearance with a positive attitude and a team approach
High School diploma or equivalent
