Job Description

The Med Surg Surgical Unit RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This position requires active collaboration with the healthcare team to implement plans of care and ensure the well-being of patients during their stay in the surgical unit.

Responsibilities

Deliver nursing care in accordance with established protocols and practices.

Monitor patient progress and adjust care as necessary.

Work closely with students and new hires, contributing to a supportive learning environment.

Participate in team meetings and case reviews, sharing insights and recommendations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years of experience in the relevant specialty.

Active VA / Compact License required at the time of submission.

BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.

Travel experience is required.

Experience in a teaching hospital and charge experience preferred.
