Job Summary
As an MDS Nurse , you will play a vital role in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the activities of our professional nursing staff. Your responsibilities will include :
Evaluating care provided to each resident and keeping care plans currentLeading the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) processAssisting in the assessment and evaluation of potential admissionsCompleting resident assessments upon admission, quarterly, and annuallyCollaborating with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues to ensure the best quality of life for each residentWhen functioning on the floor, you will utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, demonstrating your expertise in :
Assessment, diagnosis, outcomes / planning, implementation, and evaluationCoordinating care, resident assessment, and educationServing as charge nurse and delegating tasks appropriatelyQualifications
Graduate from a National League of Nursing (NLN) or American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) accredited nursing program preferredBachelor’s Degree in nursing preferredMinimum of one year of experience as a licensed nurse with the senior population preferredResident Assessment Coordinator-Certified (RAC-CT) and supervisory experience preferredCurrent unencumbered RN license with the State Board of NursingCommitment to obtaining and maintaining required certifications and continuing educationAffiliation with a professional nursing organization preferredBenefits
