UTHealth Houston's School of Dentistry is hiring for a Dental Assistant I to join their team of professionals. The DA I will be responsible for assisting residents / students with dental treatment, taking X-rays and CBCTs, setting up surgeries, infection control, cleaning and fully stocking operatories, and more. RDA from the State Board of Dental Examiners is required. CPR / BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is highly preferred.

Position Summary :

Perform routine tasks assisting the professional dental staff and students in the examination and prophylactic, therapeutic and surgical treatment of patients. Works under direct supervision.

Minimum Education :

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a recognized dental assistant educational program preferred.

Minimum Experience : None

Physical Requirements :

Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and / or up to 20 pounds frequently and / or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
