Role Description

We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our Cathode Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Team. This role will focus on commissioning new product lines, developing robust process specifications, and collaborating with equipment and operations teams to optimize efficiency, quality, and scalability. Beyond supporting our newly operational manufacturing line, this role will contribute to the development of next-generation manufacturing processes as we expand production capabilities.

Your process development experience and creativity will enable you to create and implement world class, fully automated processes that enable the production of our first-of-a kind grid storage technology. This is an exciting opportunity to develop processes from scratch and have a large impact on the future of our manufacturing while doing your part to help combat climate change.

This role will be located at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV, which is just a short drive outside of Pittsburgh, PA. Relocation assistance is available.

What you'll do :

Commission and qualify processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with tight timelines.

Perform equipment and process capability studies while documenting and continuously improving the process steps that deliver Form's Air cathode.

Develop and implement process specifications to ensure consistency, reliability, and manufacturability.

Work closely with equipment and operations teams to identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions.

Analyze process data, identify trends, and drive corrective actions to improve performance.

Contribute to the development of new manufacturing processes for future production phases.

Document process changes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices.

Be a champion for safety while scaling initial process designs to full production volume.

What you'll bring :

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field).

2-5 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing, or continuous improvement roles.

Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to process optimization.

Experience with process development, statistical analysis, and root cause problem-solving techniques.

Proficiency with statistical methods and tools (JMP, Minitab, or equivalent) is preferred.

Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams.

Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment and process troubleshooting is a plus.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is beneficial.
