Description

Coryell Health's Surgical Department is dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare services in a patient-centered environment. Our team is committed to ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients through compassionate care and professional excellence. As a part of our surgical department, the General Surgery CCMA / CNA will play a vital role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide patient care and assistance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician.
  • Assist in assembling and maintaining accurate patient charts, including vital signs and pre-operative information.
  • Support the transportation of patients to and from the operating room.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures related to surgery, pre-operation, and PACU care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to improve patient care quality and foster a team-oriented work environment.

Requirements

CNA :

  • Must be a Certified Nurse Assistant with current CPR certification.
  • Completion of basic EKG and / or arrhythmia course within six months of employment.
  • Prior clinical experience is preferred, along with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong physical stamina and the capability to perform tasks that involve lifting and moving patients safely.

    • CCMA :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have valid CCMA.
  • Former experience preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Basic computer skills required.
