\n Radiation badge : Required to be provided to traveler by agency; facility will not provide. \n\nCost Center 764\n \n\nJOB SUMMARY\n\nPerforms duties to accurately apply ionizing radiation to patients of all age groups from pediatric through geriatric in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the radiation oncologist.\n\nGeneral Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.) BLS\n\nCerts / ARRT & other specialty certification-requirements- ARRT / W Virginia state License\n\nHow many scanners / rooms does this department have? 1 Truebeam treatment and 1 Siemens CT Simulator\n\nWill they have to float / cover any other areas? No\n\nCommon types of imaging / studies performed & Job Duties Radiation therapy, Simulations, Blocks\n\nExperience or 'Must have' skills -Radiation Therapy\n\nAverage # of scans / studies per day- 17-20\n\nEMR & / or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System : software & hardware) do they use- Aria / PACS / Meditech\n\nDepartment Specific Equipment (GE, Phillips, Siemens) Truebeam, Siemens\n\nRadiology Supervisor or Lead Tech Erin Jackson\n\nDo they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)? No\n\nRadiologist in-house? Yes\n\nDo they have to start IV's? (if applicable to the department) No, the RN does that\n\nShifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?)
