Job descriptionMinimum age : 18+ Preferred : Knowledge in the use of firearms and experience in archery (training provided) Preferred : Knowledge and / or experience in hunting, hunting laws, conservation, wildlife agencies (training provided) Computer literacy and ability to use MS Office presentation software Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening) Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication Ability to stand, walk, and hike up to 8 hours daily and ability to lift / move up to 50 pounds Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record , including height / weight guidelines Housing : 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform : Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours : 45-55 High emotional intelligence (such as self / social awareness and team dynamics) Positive and cheerful attitude with a strong customer-service focus Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with ability to learn / develop hard and soft skills Ability to connect with individuals from diverse age groups, maturity, and backgrounds

Position Overview
Provide high quality instruction, leadership, and mentorship to participants in the Crafton Sportsman Complex program to provide participants with knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to Range and Target Activities, Firearm Safety, Wildlife Management, Conservation and Hunter Education.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruct at the Crafton Sportsman Complex, including firearm safety, wildlife management, conservation and hunter education.
- Operate indoor simulation range and provide coaching for firearm techniques
- Present and teach in front of 20-40 people and clearly transfer knowledge
- Assist in the set up and takedown of the Skills Center facilities and equipment.
- Ensure a safe environment for all guests
- Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions
- Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
- Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership
- Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook
