Job descriptionHold a current FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate. Meet initial and continuing standards of the FAA Drug & Alcohol Program. Experience and knowledge in maintaining aircraft and related components. Experience in operating tools and equipment used in aircraft maintenance. Ability to work with minimal supervision, using independent judgment and decision-making. Ability to work as part of a team requiring high cooperation and coordination. Ability to follow directions and adhere to Company Policies & Procedures. Ability to analyze and solve problems. Computer skills are required. Must have a GED or High School Diploma. Prior maintenance experience is preferred. This position involves active physical work, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing for up to 8-10 hours daily. Frequent lifting or moving of items weighing over 70 pounds is required. Must have work-related tools as per the Company's minimum list. Must pass a ten-year security background check for airport badging. Must be 21 years or older with a clean driving record in the past five years. Must pass a pre-employment DOT / FAA drug test.
Job Responsibilities
- Assists in maintaining Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements for equipment and facilities.
- Monitors inventory and submits parts and supplies requisitions through proper channels.
- Maintains a clean, neat, and organized work area.
- Assists the Company Maintenance Supervisor as needed.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of established system programs and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
