Responsibilities Position is in a hospital Med / Surg unit with 16 beds Nurse to patient ratio is typically 4-5 on days, 5-6 on evenings, and 6-7 on nights 12-hour variable day / night shifts Required to work every other to every third weekend and every other holiday as applicable On-call placement possible during low census periods Floating required to nearby partner facilities (Aspirus Merrill, Wausau, Medford, and Stanley) Uses Epic EMR; experience is preferred Scrubs may be any color Travelers may be placed on call during low census hours with corresponding on-call pay Travelers will be eligible for up to 36 low census unbillable hours Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility Team includes 3 RNs on days, 3 on evenings, and 2 on nights Every other holiday coverage is required based on scheduling Candidates are required to provide two supervisor references and copies of all certifications for consideration Requirements Active WI or compact RN license Current BLS and ACLS certifications Minimum of 2 years recent Med / Surg nursing experience Strong assessment skills required Ability to read and interpret telemetry is highly preferred Travel nursing experience preferred Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-629254.
