We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Drafter with a strong experience in architectural drafting and metal panel systems. This role is critical in transforming architectural concepts into precise, buildable shop drawings that meet both project specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities :

• Interpret architectural and structural drawings to develop detailed shop drawings for metal panel systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry codes for commercial buildings.
• Produce comprehensive shop drawings including layout plans, elevations, sections, attachment details, and fabrication drawings for metal wall and roof panels.
• Coordinate panel layout with structural and architectural elements to ensure proper fit, alignment, and constructability.
• Generate panel schedules, material take-offs, and fabrication lists to support procurement and production.
• Apply knowledge of various metal panel systems such as ACM, insulated metal panels, and single-skin, along with their installation methods.
• Conduct quality checks on peer drawings and bill of materials to identify and resolve discrepancies prior to fabrication and installation.
• Review and incorporate redline corrections from customers and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to coordinate panel analysis and resolve technical issues.
• Assist in the development of standard product details, manuals, and installation prints.
• Support sales and customer service teams with technical drawing needs and project-specific questions.
• Create submittal packages for new projects and assist with revisions as needed.
• Manage multiple drafting projects simultaneously, maintaining high standards of accuracy and meeting tight deadlines.

Work Environment :

The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, involving interaction with engineering and sales teams to address technical drawing needs and project-specific inquiries. The role requires proficiency in Revit and an understanding of metal panel systems including ACM, insulated panels, and single-skin panels. Dress code is business casual.

Job Type & Location :

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Deland, Florida.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
