We are looking for qualified candidates for the role of Ultrasound Technologist at various levels (I, II, III). Your placement will depend on your qualifications and experience, and all levels play a crucial role in supporting patient care under the supervision of licensed medical professionals. As you progress, you'll gain increasing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Ultrasound Technologist I :

Utilize high-frequency sound waves for diagnostic imaging upon provider orders, following KSC Radiology Department policies and protocols.

  • Perform sonohysterography and / or vascular ultrasounds as required based on assigned site.
  • Handle clerical processes through the Radiology Information System (RIS) and manage imaging files in the Patient Archiving System (PACS).
  • Assume additional technical or non-technical duties as assigned, pending adequate training, experience, and credentials.
  • Ultrasound Technologist II :
  • Incorporates all duties from Ultrasound Technologist I.

  • Requires higher levels of experience or certification.
  • Ultrasound Technologist III :
  • Includes all responsibilities of Ultrasound Technologist I and II.

  • Requires advanced experience or certification.

    Required Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited program.
  • Education that meets applicant requirements for ARDMS or ARRT (S).
  • Holds RDMS or RT(R)(S) certification or is a current applicant with a commitment to achieve certification within one year of hire. Failure to obtain certification will result in termination from the position.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in digital image acquisition.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • For Ultrasound Technologist II :
  • Healthcare-related degree.

  • Holds RT(R), RDMS, (Ab)(OB)(BR).
  • RDMS with a minimum of two specialty registries or RT(R)(S) with at least two applicable registries.
  • Minimum of 1 year of ultrasound experience or equivalent clinical instruction.
  • PACS and RIS proficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage digital imaging tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • For Ultrasound Technologist III :
  • Healthcare-related degree.

  • RDMS with two specialty registries and RVT or RVS certification, or RT(R)(S) with RVT / RVS certification.
  • RT(R), RDMS, (Ab)(OB)(BR), RVT, and / or RVS certifications.
  • 3+ years of relevant ultrasound experience, with prior PACS and RIS use.
  • Excellent communication and technical skills.
  • Compensation is competitive and based on factors like experience and education. The hourly pay for this role ranges from $28.27 to $50.48 based on full-time employment.
