Network Engineer (San Diego)

A data center company is seeking a Network Engineer to join their team. In this hands-on position the Network Engineer will be joining one other person on the team managing roughly 11 tickets per month and handling all network support issues. Simultaneously, theyll be managing 2 projects at a time, examples of projects could include colocation switch projects. This is a hybrid onsite role where candidates must be willing to go to one of the clients locations once every two weeks. Locations consist of San Diego, CA; Seatlle, WA; Dallas, TX; Jacksonville, FL; and Charlotte, NC.

• Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
• Experience with SD-WAN & load balancing with DDos mitigation
• NSX and / or VXLAN experience
• Experience working in a data center
• 2-4 years of experience as a Network Engineer working in support of a data center
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, and / or Juniper with the ability of being able to set up BGP and strong working experience with VRRP
• CCNA certification
• Experience working within a customer service background and / or comfortability being on the phones
