Job Summary :

We are seeking a Regulation E & Chargeback Specialist to serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on electronic funds transfer (EFT) disputes, Reg E compliance, and chargeback case management. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with Regulation E while minimizing financial exposure and maintaining excellent customer experiences.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Reg E, ACH / debit card dispute processes, and sponsor bank compliance requirements.

Duties / Responsibilities :

Reg E Dispute Handling

  • Investigate, document, and resolve Regulation E disputes within mandated timelines.
  • Review customer claims, supporting evidence, and transaction logs to make accurate determinations.
  • Ensure compliance with all EFTA / Reg E notification, provisional credit, and reporting requirements.

Chargeback Case Management

  • Serve as the SME for chargeback processes, rules, and dispute lifecycle.
  • Manage end-to-end case submission, representments, and pre-arbitration with processors and card networks.
  • Monitor case outcomes and develop best practices for win-rate improvement.
  • Compliance & Risk

  • Partner with the Compliance team and sponsor bank to ensure full adherence to OCC and CFPB expectations for Reg E disputes.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and evidence of compliance.
  • Identify patterns of fraud or misuse and escalate to AML / fraud monitoring teams as necessary.
  • Process Improvement & Training

  • Document and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Reg E and chargeback workflows.
  • Provide training and guidance to frontline teams handling disputes.
  • Recommend automation or system enhancements to reduce case handling time.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Required Skills / Abilities :

  • 3+ years of experience handlingReg E disputes, EFT error resolution, or debit / ACH chargebacks.
  • Strong knowledge ofRegulation E, NACHA, and card network rules (Visa, Mastercard, Galileo or other processors a plus).
  • Experience with dispute platforms, core processors, and compliance monitoring systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, case documentation, and compliance accuracy.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Education and Experience :

  • Bachelors degree in Finance or related field.
  • Prior experience infintech, neobank, or sponsor bank program.
  • Familiarity withGalileo, Unit21, or other dispute management tools.
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus, given MyBambus core customer base.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
