Santa Barbara represents the essence of California the art & culture of the big city & the heart & hospitality of a small, coastal town adjacent to the central coast wine country. There is fine dining, historic sites, cultural venues, countless outdoor activities, and top educational institutions, such as the University of California.

Facility : The region s leading provider of perinatal services specializing in the care of women experiencing high-risk pregnancies, they treat conditions including diabetes, hypertension, advanced maternal age, abnormal placentation, pre-term delivery, multiple gestations, recurrent miscarriage, family history of genetic diseases, suspected fetal birth defects and other such complications.

Opportunity :

• Days in the office, Monday though Friday, and on-call at night (mostly phone coverage) every third
• Call schedule divided by three (handled mostly by phone)
• The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic, have strong clinical skills in both inpatient and outpatient Perinatology, and strong sonography and prenatal diagnostic skills.
• Consultative-only practice with one office location
• Based out of a 400-bed state-of-the-art Level-I Trauma Center with a Level-III NICU and helicopter transport service
• Group provides prenatal diagnostic procedures including ultrasounds, amniocentesis, CVS and fetal echocardiography.
• Group works collaboratively with OB Hospitalists.
• Fully staffed there are 2.5 MFMs.
• Days in the office, Monday though Friday, and on-call at night (mostly phone coverage) every third
• Candidates must have strong ultrasound skills (limited sonographer support in this practice).
• Research opportunities exist with an affiliation with the University of California Santa Barbara.
