Description : Basic Description :

The Servicing Accountant Assistant is responsible for assisting the Senior Servicing Accountant in all aspects related to mortgage loan servicing, including investor remittances, custodial account reconciliations, servicing transfers and escrow accounting. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with investor guidelines, accurate reporting and timely remittance activity. This position works closely with the Servicing, Treasury and Accounting teams to support internal controls and financial integrity across all servicing transactions.

This is an in-office role with hybrid opportunity after training.

Responsibilities :

• Provide assistance to the Senior Servicing Accountant in all aspects of their role.
• Support servicing transfers including GL setup, trial balance mapping, and validation.
• Assist in reconciling custodial bank accounts and ensure proper balancing and resolution of reconciling items.
• Assist with month-end close tasks related to loan servicing including journal entries and reporting.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation related to servicing.
• Assist as needed throughout the Servicing Accounting department.
