Under the supervision of a BCBA, the BCaBA provides behavior-analytic services in accordance with BACB standards and North Carolina licensing requirements. The BCaBA will assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of behavior plans, supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), conduct assessments, collaborate with families and other professionals, and ensure clinical fidelity and compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
Job Description :
- Assist in conducting
- functional behavior assessments (FBA)
- , preference assessments, and functional analyses to identify environmental variables influencing behavior.
- Develop, implement, and monitor
- behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- or treatment plans, including measurable goals, objectives, interventions, and data collection systems.
- Provide
- direct 1 : 1 behavior analytic sessions
- (skill acquisition, behavior reduction) as needed, following the BCBAs plan.
- Supervise, train, and monitor Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)
- in fidelity of implementation, data collection, session planning, and adherence to procedures.
- Review, analyze, and graph behavior and skill acquisition data; monitor client progress; prepare progress reports, summaries, and treatment updates.
- Participate in
- team meetings
- (e.g. parent / caregiver meetings, IEP / educational meetings, coordination with other service providers).
- Provide
- parent / caregiver training and coaching
- , ensuring caregivers understand procedures and can generalize interventions across settings.
- Assist with clinical tasks such as skills assessments (e.g. VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, Vineland, etc.), curriculum development, and task analyses.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation (session notes, treatment plan updates, data logs) in compliance with agency, insurance, and regulatory requirements.
- Support BCBA in supervision of fieldwork trainees and oversight of RBT supervision when delegated (if allowed by BACB rules).

Required Qualifications & Credentials
