About The Position
A hospital in Virginia is seeking locum Neurohospitalist coverage for multiple short-term periods in 2026. This is a consult-based service covering adult patients in ICU, ED, and general inpatient floors, with 24-hour coverage on a 7-on / 7-off schedule.
Job Responsibilities :
- Provide inpatient neurohospitalist coverage across ICU, ED, and general medical floors
- Admit, evaluate, and manage adult neurology patients
- Perform consults and rounding duties per medical staff bylaws
- Respond to neuro consults during assigned shifts
- Perform lumbar punctures as needed
- On-site coverage approximately 8 hours per day; 24-hour responsibility per shift
