We’re looking for a Controls Engineer who can roll up their sleeves, program PLCs, troubleshoot in the field, and keep projects moving. You don’t need to have management experience today, but if you’re good at this and want to grow, we’d love to train you up for future leadership.
Core ResponsibilitiesProgram and troubleshoot SCADA, PLCs, HMIs, and VFDsRead, write, and edit PLC, HMI, and VFD programsPerform startups, customer / end-user training, and field troubleshootingVerify upstream and downstream process interlocksHandle equipment upgrades and retrofitsWork directly with customers (phone, email, in person)Answer technical support callsBuild control panels (yep, sometimes you’ll be on the shop floor with tools)Draw schematics, layouts, one-lines, and components in AutoCAD ElectricalGenerate BOMs, and other docsKeep drawings up to date and accurateTravel about 50%Document your work clearly (saves headaches later)Other random stuff that comes up—we’re a small team.On-Call RotationOne week per month you’re on callMust respond to customer within 1 hour;Must be able to get into the office within 2 hours if onsite support is requiredFlat on-call pay + overtime for any actual call timeWhat We’re Looking ForBachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Software / Electronics Engineering (or related field)3–5 years in Controls / Automation (or you’ve just been doing this kind of work and can prove it)Experience with PLC, HMI, and VFD programming softwareComfort with analog signals (0-20mA, 4-20mA, 0-10VDC, etc.)Familiar with NEC basicsSolid computer skills, some networking knowledgeCan read electrical schematics, layouts, one-lines, and know your componentsSelf-starter, team player, adaptable, and not easily rattled under pressureBonus points if you know your way around function blocks, safety controllers, servo drives, or comms protocols like Modbus, Profinet, or EtherNet / IPPerks & BenefitsFull-time401(k)Health, dental, vision insurancePaid time offChance to grow into management down the lineScheduleOvertime and weekends when needed (small company = we all pitch in)Location : Lebanon, PA (must live within 60 minutes of Lebanon, PA)Travel : 50%Job Type : Full-time
