If you like a variety of duties, this is the perfect role for you. As our Load Inspector, you will be interacting with customers, vendors, and other employees to inspect scrap metal that is being brought into our facility for drop off. A typical day might include grading and inspecting customer's loads, prepping material to be shipped, organizing and sorting different grades, and kinds of metals, communicating to the office staff on customer needs as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and sort various metals
• Check customer's scrap metal for anything that may be hazardous material
• Direct customers where to dump their scrap metal
• Communicate with heavy equipment operators and other team members to move scrap metal
• Provide exceptional customer service
• May be trained and asked to operate heavy equipment
• Other job duties as assigned by the manager

Minimum Qualifications :

1 year of customer service experience in a fast-paced environment

Problem solving skills and stellar organizational skills

Attention to detail in order to recognize materials not accepted by Metro Group

Physical Requirements :

Ability to exert frequently up to 40 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects

Required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel

Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
