Summary

Have a positive, warm, and friendly attitude towards children and families. Be able to work with the Cook and assist the Kitchen Manager / Cook with the daily kitchen duties.

Duties

• Maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen at all times, including dishwashing, cleaning equipments, and walls behind equipments.
• Responsible for helping the Cook to prepare breakfast, lunch, and daily snacks for approximately 160 children and approximately 30 staff members.
• Responsible for delivering breakfast and lunch to the classrooms and getting all food carts back to the kitchen after meals.
• Collecting and throwing the trash from hallway trashcan and kitchen. Breaking down boxes.
• Mopping pantry / back kitchen.
• Ensuring compliance with local and state health regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director, Program Manager or the Kitchen Manager / Cook.

Requirements

Must pass a physical, stating you are physically and mentally able to work with children. Have a T.B. test, physical, and submit to a criminal background check. Will also need to be able to lift up to 50-lbs. (Can work Monday to Friday between 7 : 30am to 1pm or up to 30 hours a week)
