The Wound Care Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care related to wounds, ostomies, and continence issues. The role involves collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure effective treatment plans that promote optimal healing and patient outcomes.

Job Requirements

Requirements :

License : Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

Experience : Minimum 1–2 years of recent wound care experience preferred.

Certifications :

BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required

WOCN (Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Certification) or WCC (Wound Care Certification) – Preferred

Strong knowledge of wound assessment, dressing selection, and treatment modalities.

Excellent communication, documentation, and patient education skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
