Job Title: Scale Clerk

Pay Rate: $19/hour

Shift: 1st or 2nd (flexible)

What's a typical day as a Scale Clerk? You'll be:

• Delivering professional, in-person customer service to truck drivers and facility visitors.
• Accurately weighing inbound and outbound trucks using certified scales and specialized software.
• Maintaining precise records of truck weights for legal sale and purchase contracts.
• Collecting payments for COD contracts prior to product loading.
• Verifying contract details, truck data, and customer profiles to ensure accurate transactions.
• Ensuring all truckers have correct load numbers and destinations before entering the facility.
• Coordinating with commercial and plant operations to optimize truck flow and safety.
• Issuing key cards and trailer numbers, and providing orientation to new drivers.
• Troubleshooting system and equipment issues, and communicating with IT support as needed.
• Maintaining daily housekeeping and securing the scale house premises.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Possess strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
• Are detail-oriented with excellent data entry and record-keeping abilities.
• Can work safely and adhere to all facility safety protocols.
• Have basic computer literacy (experience with SAP, Agris, or similar systems preferred).
• Are able to troubleshoot minor IT or equipment issues.
• Can work the 2nd shift and are flexible with scheduling as needed.
