Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking for a Facilities Construction Project Management (Level 2) or Principal Facilities Construction Project Management (Level 3) to join our team! This position will be located on site in Palmdale, California. / ppOversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. / ppThis position oversees and manages the facilities projects and construction activities and serves as liaison between leadership, program and other customers. / ppAct as primary contact for facilities between customers and maintenance for equipment and machinery project activities. / ppGather, review, and finalize requirements data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility. / ppPlan, design, and oversee the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities. / ppCoordinate with architecture / engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings. / ppPrepare Scopes of Work and supporting documents for procurement of design and construction services. / ppReview and estimate costs, including design, equipment, installation, labor, materials, construction, and other related costs. / ppInspect or direct the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules. / ppManage and execute multiple facilities projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment. / ppForecast and report on project status, including key project metrics for Risk, Cost, and Schedule. / ppProduce and implement risk mitigation and schedule recovery plans as required. / ppIdentifies any task that will require special inspection and coordinates with customer and contractors. / ppCoordinate and update the Air Force as required for projects, budgets, and schedule. / ppBasic Qualifications for the Level 2 Project Management : / ppA minimum of high school diploma or GED and 5 years of combined project management, facilities construction project management, or facilities management experience OR with Bachelors Degree and 2 years of experience with OR Masters Degree and 1 year of experience. / ppKnowledge of construction related disciplines. Able to communicate effectively and clearly too present technical approaches and findings. / ppMust be capable of obtaining and maintaining a DOD Secret Clearance. / ppWork with subject matter experts, suppliers, etc. (as required) to quickly and efficiently troubleshoot and solve issues related to mechanical system, machines and or material assemblies. / ppPrepares Scopes of Work and supporting documents for procurement of design and construction services. / ppBasic Qualifications for the Level 3 Project Management : / ppA minimum of high school diploma or GED and 8 years of combined project management, facilities construction project management, or facilities management experience OR with Bachelors Degree and 5 years of experience with OR Masters Degree and 4 year of experience. / ppKnowledge of construction related disciplines.
