Annual Pay Range: $120,000 – $155,000 (Based on Experience)

Overview

An established neurology and stroke program in the Grand Prairie area is hiring an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) to provide inpatient neurological and cerebrovascular care in a high-acuity setting.

This is a structured 7-on/7-off hospitalist position offering work-life balance, consistent scheduling, and the opportunity to manage complex neurological cases alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care for neurology and stroke patients in acute and step-down units.

• Perform neurological assessments, create treatment plans, and evaluate response to interventions.

• Collaborate with neurology, neurosurgery, and hospital medicine teams to coordinate complex care.

• Participate in acute stroke evaluations and support rapid response activation.

• Educate patients and families about neurological diagnoses and treatment pathways.

• Contribute to clinical education, performance improvement, and patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license and ACNP certification

• Current BLS certification

• Minimum 2 years of inpatient or acute care NP experience

• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

Preferred:

• Prior neurology or neurocritical care experience

• NIH Stroke Scale or ENLS certification
