Position Overview
The Inventory Representative is responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified to reflect reported inventory. In addition to performing counts, you are expected to audit processes and ensure the inventory flow is facilitated as efficiently and accurately as possible. This role is based in our KC warehouse and is not remote.
Essential Job Functions
Cycle count raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and non-conforming materials daily. Some of these counts might be performed at satellite facilitiesEnsure materials are in proper locations. Conducts searches to locate misclassified inventoryOpen cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items and / or weigh materials to determine quantity on hand. Weigh and mark the product, displaying the remaining product leftReport discrepancies of over / under amounts and any damaged products to supervisionWork interdepartmentally with the production floor, customer service, and sales staff to answer questions about the status of inventoryInvestigate inventory variances with the utilization of reports to uncover the root cause of discrepanciesMonitor flow of finished goods from the production floor to the warehouse, as well as the inbound flow of component inventory to the production floorReport process failures to the Inventory Control ManagerPerform daily audits of warehouse personnel to ensure inventory is accurately moved throughout the operationAssist the Quality Control department with research into potential quality issuesEnsure all safety rules are strictly observed and maintain a neat, clean, and orderly warehouse appearanceAbility to work extended hours / overtime as needed, as well as some SaturdaysAdhere to all company policies and safety procedures, and guidelines; ensure proper and full-time use of PPE and conform to all quality and safety proceduresOther duties as assignedNon-Essential Job Functions
