Position Summary :
Humanity United (HU) is seeking a Manager, Peacebuilding (PB) to manage a set of cross-team initiatives and priorities spanning the breadth of the Peacebuilding portfolio. As part of the Peacebuilding team, this role will enable grantmaking, contracting, and convening work across thematic areas of programming, which include : building agency for collective action; wellbeing and healing for peace actors; innovative approaches to peacebuilding; and inclusive peace processes. Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability, the Manager will balance strategic vision with meticulous attention to detail and effective logistical execution.
The Manager, PB will be responsible for bridging programmatic implementation with operations, including managing contracts, planning convenings, and coordinating partner travel. Collaborating with the PB team's Senior Portfolio Director, Senior Managers, and the Associate Manager, the Manager will assist in maintaining visibility across the grantmaking pipeline and help align partner support with team operations. This role will work with team members on a small set of grants to help ensure accuracy and quality in HU’s grants management system.
The Manager will implement a set of team-wide initiatives, such as assisting in the management of a partner emergency fund and exploring opportunities to host grantee convenings. They will also be responsible for building out the Peacebuilding team’s convening practices and policies, and for the planning and implementation of convenings.
The successful candidate will understand intentional convening, logistical planning, and meeting design as powerful tools to further new forms of collective action, deeper relationships, and meaningful participation. The ideal candidate will have a background in peacebuilding and conflict transformation work, and bring an understanding of how programs and operations can work together seamlessly to serve the organization’s mission. They will bring a care-focused orientation that prioritizes relationship and adaptive support to HU’s partners, as this role will contribute to work that demonstrates the importance of following the lead of those closest to the context.
This role will report to the Senior Manager, Peacebuilding. This is a full-time, exempt position and can be based anywhere in the U.S., but the successful candidate should be prepared to occasionally attend meetings with stakeholders in various time zones. Our hybrid work approach provides ongoing flexibility for regular remote work for this position, combined with periodic in-person gatherings.

Salary : The salary range for this position will vary by geographic location to account for local job market & cost of living. Starting salaries within the range are based on job-related skills, experience, and background. At HU, salary progression is based on performance and proficiency in a role over time.
