Assists SPD Manager in duties relating to the effective management of supply / equipment replenishment and distribution to clinical and ancillary areas.
Prepares work schedules for assigned Techs making sure there is coverage for all shifts.
Supervises assigned Techs, including interviewing, training, evaluating, counseling, etc.
In-services Techs on all new products and procedures.
Orders and maintains adequate supplies from Materials Management warehouse.
Assists SPD Manager with updating / maintaining current policies and procedures.
Coordinates efforts to resolve operations issues with all departments, relating to SPD supplies / equipment.
Ensures stock is rotated and all outdates are pulled in Par Stock locations to include SPD inventory.
Maintains basic knowledge of over 1200 stocked items, and maintains familiarity with charge vs. non-charge supplies.
Knows location of all products facilitating accurate stocking and rapid picking.
Fills all supply requests accurately, properly listing the item #, quantity, description and Nursing unit to charge.
Ability to work each shift and count and stock any par cart location for all shifts.
Able to input patient charge tickets from patient cards and enter lost charges to the correct department.
Able to list and track over a dozen patient use products and equipment.
Replenishes Par stock locations daily, inputs patient charge items in the computer.
Verifies accuracy of supplies delivered from the warehouse, both stock and non-stock.
Stock case carts for Surgery
Maintains SPD inventory area in a clean and orderly condition.
Maintains operational knowledge of ICU procedure cart, ER central line cart, spill cart and latex free cart.
Delivers crash carts as needed, restocks used crash cart with needed supplies preparing cart for next use.
