Position Overview :

The Bench Technologist / Generalist is responsible for the coordination and participation of the day-to-day operations in their assigned section in the high complexity laboratory, within established federal guidelines. In the absence of the Section Supervisors, General Supervisor, Medical Laboratory Director, and Administrative Laboratory Director, the technologist may be assigned to be "in-charge" and must be accessible to testing personnel as needed to provide on-site, telephone, or electronic consultation.

Position Highlights :

• Starting Rate : $20.11 + per hour (commensurate with experience and certification)
• Shift Differentials : $2.50 - $5.00 per hour
• Sign On Bonus Eligible : Up to $6,500
• Retirement Benefits : NC Local Government Pension Plan (5-year vesting period)

Key Responsibilities :

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science / medical technology; or

Associate degree in a laboratory science or medical technology.

Laboratory Generalist experience is preferred.

Phlebotomy training / experience preferred.
