About the Role :
Were seeking a compassionate and skilled Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to join our school-based team. This full-time position focuses on supporting students with hearing loss to access the curriculum, develop communication skills, and achieve academic success.
Responsibilities
Provide direct and consultative instructional services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Adapt curriculum and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) based on student needs.
Collaborate with general education teachers, interpreters, and related service providers to support inclusion and accommodations.
Monitor student progress and maintain compliance with state and district guidelines.
Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Deaf Education or related field.
Texas teaching certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (or eligibility).
Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) strongly preferred.
School-based experience a plus.
