Junior Accountant

LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our client's finance team. This role will primarily focus on managing accounts payable and receivable, performing month-end reconciliations, and preparing journal entries. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and a commitment to accuracy and timeliness. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $45K and $55K annually depending on experience and education.

Responsibilities :

• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of all AP transactions.
• Generate and send customer invoices.
• Monitor incoming payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Apply payments to customer accounts and maintain AR aging reports.
• Assist in month-end closing activities.
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts.
• Support financial reporting and audit preparation.
